In 2026, the New South Wales (NSW) school year is divided into four terms. Term 1 starts on Monday, January 28th and ends on Friday, April 10th. Term 2 begins on Monday, April 27th and finishes on Friday, July 3rd. Term 3 starts on Monday, July 20th and ends on Friday, September 25th. Term 4 begins on Monday, October 12th and finishes on Friday, December 18th.
There are several holiday breaks throughout the year for NSW schools in 2026. The Autumn break falls between April 11th and April 26th. The Winter break is from July 4th to July 19th. The Spring break takes place from September 26th to October 11th. Finally, the Summer break starts on December 19th and runs through to January 27th, 2027.
